Bouygues: first 5G pilot open in France
(CercleFinance.com) - Bouygues Telecom has announced that it has opened the first 5G pilot in Bordeaux, based on two remote relay antennae that are around ten kilometres apart, and has performed a throughput test with an extremely low latency of 7.

The telecom operator adds that dozens of antennae will be progressively added to Bordeaux over the coming weeks, and that other pilots will be born in several cities in France.
In order to quickly bring out new uses facilitated by 5G, Bouygues has also announced the creation of the Accelerator SmartX_5G, which will become the 5G ecosystem federating all the group's initiatives in this area.
