Bouygues: acquisition in Australia
(CercleFinance.com) - Continuing with its development strategy in Australia, Bouygues has announced that its subsidiary Bouygues Bâtiment International will buy all of the shares of the Austin William (AW) Edwards Company, maintaining the trademark.
As a family-owned construction firm based in Sydney, AW Edwards reported sales of 277 million Australian dollars in 2017 and has 250 employees. This deal is expected to be closed in the summer of 2018.
Bouygues Construction said that in Australia it is currently building the new NorthConnex motorway connection in Sydney, the Melbourne metro and several solar farms in New South Wales and Queensland.
