AccorHotels: plans to take over Orbis
(CercleFinance.com) - AccorHotels announces that it has filed with the Polish financial Market Supervisory authority, a cash takeover bid on the 21,800,593 Orbis shares that it does not already own, i.
e. 47.31% of its capital.
Orbis is the leading hotel group in Central Europe, where it has exclusivity on the majority of the AccorHotels' trademarks, through a master franchise contract. It has a portfolio of 128 hotels (21,000 rooms) across 16 different countries.
The offer, which is not subject to any condition, will be open from 17 December 2018 to 18 January 2019, on the basis of a 100% acquisition of securities not held on that date, with the transaction amounting to 442 million euros (1.9 billion zlotys).
