Vallourec: partial restart of iron ore mine in Brazil
(CercleFinance.com) - Vallourec announces that it has partially restarted operations at its iron ore mine in Brazil, without using the tailings facility, after obtaining agreement from the mining authorities to this effect for a three-month period.
Under this temporary regime, made possible by the possibility of using alternative storage areas, Vallourec aims to gradually move from 70% to full production.
Vallourec adds that, alongside this, it is preparing for a return to normal operation, subject to validation by the mining and environmental authorities.
