(CercleFinance.com) - L'Oréal announces that it has embarked on a profound transformation of its Research & Innovation by orienting its methods towards Green Sciences (Biosciences), with the aim of cultivating ingredients sustainably and extracting the best from nature using high-tech processes.
Thus, the cosmetics giant has set itself the target for 95% of its ingredients from renewable plant sources, abundant minerals or circular processes by 2030, and that 100% of its formulae will have no negative impact on the aquatic environment.
To achieve this transition, L'Oréal is mobilising all the resources of Green Sciences: recent advances in agronomic knowledge, developments in biotechnology, Green Chemistry, the science of formulation and modelling tools.
The Group also announces its commitment to strategic partnerships with universities, start-ups and its own raw material suppliers.
