L'Oréal: acquires small 'organic' company in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - This morning L'Oréal has announced the acquisition of the German beauty company and pioneer of natural cosmetics, Logocos Naturkosmetik.
The terms of the deal were not revealed.
The French cosmetics giant presents the target as having "pioneered natural cosmetics with the brand Logona and other brands such as Sante. All the company's brands are vegan and bio certified with a range of products using their own plant extracts and natural ingredients derived from organic farming." L'Oréal intends to develop these brands internationally.
Founded in 1978, Logocos Naturkosmetik has around 340 employees and generated net sales of 59 million euros last year.
