TotalEnergies: chemical recycling of plastic films

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies and Paprec, France's leading plastic recycling company, have signed a long-term commercial agreement to develop France's first chemical recycling plant for plastic film waste.

This agreement enables TotalEnergies to secure the supply of the future chemical recycling plant for plastic waste in Grandpuits.

Under this agreement, Citeo will supply flexible plastic waste from the sorting of post-consumer packaging.

This waste will be transported to the Paprec Plastiques 80 plant in Amiens where a sorting line will be built.

TotalEnergies will use this French waste at the chemical recycling plant located on the Grandpuits zero oil platform.

With a capacity to process 15,000 tonnes of waste per year, this chemical recycling plant, built by TotalEnergies (60%) and Plastic Energy (40%), will be commissioned in 2024.
