TotalEnergies: launches engineering studies for Papua LNG
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies has announced the launch of the front end engineering and design (FEED) for the Papua LNG project.
The Papua LNG partners have chosen a concept comprising four electric liquefaction trains (e-trains) with a total capacity of 4 Mt/year.
These trains will be built at PNG LNG's existing liquefaction plant in Caution Bay.
The construction and operation of these electric liquefaction trains will be entrusted to ExxonMobil, which has been the PNG LNG project's operator since 2014.
TotalEnergies holds a 40.1% stake in Papua LNG, alongside its partners ExxonMobil (37.1%) and Santos (22.8%).
