TotalEnergies: to produce sustainable aviation fuel
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies and SARIA have signed an agreement to develop the production of sustainable aviation fuel on the Grandpuits platform (Seine-et-Marne), near Paris.
This partnership is a major step in securing the supply of used cooking oil and animal fats, which are eligible raw materials for the production of sustainable aviation fuel.
It will increase the site's sustainable aviation fuel production capacity to 210,000 tonnes per year, i.e. 25% over the initial project announced in 2020.
As part of the agreement, TotalEnergies will take a 50% stake in a production activity of SARIA, which will supply Grandpuits with animal fat ester.
