TotalEnergies: sells stake in field in Kurdistan
(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces that it has completed the sale of its 18% stake in the Sarsang onshore oil field in the Kurdistan region of Iraq to ShaMaran Petroleum Corp, a company specialising in oil exploration and development in Kurdistan.
The interest was sold for a firm price of 155 million dollars, with a potential additional 15 million dollars contingent on production and oil prices.
The group said that the Sarsang field, discovered in 2011, is operated by HKN (62%), with KRG holding a 20% interest. TotalEnergies' production share was about 3,500 barrels per day in 2021.
