TotalEnergies: creates a hydrogen fund
(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide, TotalEnergies and Vinci Concessions have announced that they are joining forces with other major international industrial players to create the world's largest fund dedicated to the development of low-carbon hydrogen infrastructures.
The first commitments have already reached 800 million euros, over half of a total target of 1.5 billion euros planned on signature. The three original French partners have committed to invest 100 million euros each in the project.
This initiative aims to accelerate the growth of the hydrogen ecosystem by investing in large strategic projects across the value chain, and by benefiting from the alliance between industrial and financial players.
The fund will be managed by Hy241, a new joint venture that is equally owned by Ardian and FiveT Hydrogen. It is to participate in the development of hydrogen projects to the tune of 15 billion euros.
Doesn't seem to be much of a big deal though - the Air Liquide, TotalEnergies and Vinci shares are currently pretty much down this morning (+0.1%, -1.7% and -2.2% respectively).
