(CercleFinance.com) - Saft, Total's battery subsidiary, announces a new range of nickel backup batteries, designed to support critical systems at remote and hard-to-reach industrial facilities.
These compact nickel batteries offer a long operational life of over 20 years, i.e. at least three times longer than VRLA (valve regulated lead acid) batteries, improving reliability and the total cost of ownership.
The new maintenance-free range can be installed in the same footprint and use the same charging protocols as lead batteries, allowing direct replacement in the same location and using existing chargers.
