Total: big solar roofing contract in Thailand
(CercleFinance.com) - Total, via its subsidiary Total Solar Distributed Generation, announces that it has signed a contract to supply 25 megawatt-peak (MWp) of solar roofs for 24 establishments of Betagro, a large agri-food company in Thailand.
Each of the projects benefits from a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). The entire contract represents one of the largest portfolios of Corporate PPA in Thailand, Total said.
Equipped with over 62,000 solar panels, the projects are designed to produce nearly 38 GWh of renewable electricity per year, covering almost 15% of Betagro's electricity needs, thereby reducing its carbon footprint by 26,000 tonnes of CO2.
