Total: wins storage electricity project in Mayotte
(CercleFinance.com) - Total announces that it has won a lithium-ion battery power storage project for a capacity of 4 MW and a capacity of 2 MWh during CRE's first call for tenders for stationary energy storage facilities in Mayotte.
The energy storage project, whose commissioning is scheduled for the last quarter of 2020, will be used as a quick reserve to support the stability of the island's grid operated by Electricité de Mayotte.
The system, which has Saft's Intensium Max 20 High Energy solution, will be installed in part of Total's oil depot in Longoni and will provide frequency control services at a lower cost.
