Total: Saft signs contract with TuuliWatti in Finland
(CercleFinance.com) - Saft, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Total, announces the signature of a contract for the supply of three Intensium Max 20 High Energy containers to TuuliWatti, a Finnish company that develops and operates wind farms.
This lithium-ion energy storage system will provide frequency tuning services to improve the integration of renewable energy produced by a 21 megawatt (MW) wind farm located in Viinamäki, in the northwest of Finland, into the grid.
This lithium-ion storage system, which is the largest of the Nordic countries, has a storage capacity of 6.6 MWh and will deliver power of 5.6 MW.
