Total: starts construction of solar power plant
(CercleFinance.com) - Total announces the cornerstone of the Noguères-Pardies photovoltaic solar power plant, in the heart of Lacq's industrial basin, as part of its commitment to renewable energies in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
Its subsidiary Total Quadran is building five photovoltaic projects on former industrial sites in this region. Once commissioned, these plants will produce approximately 90 GWh of renewable electricity per year.
This recovery of former industrial sites, which are not currently being used will also enable neighbouring municipalities to benefit from significant economic returns, Total said.
