Total: extends partnership with Adani in India
(CercleFinance.com) - French oil major Total has said that it is extending its partnership with Adani group, the largest Indian private conglomerate operating in energy and infrastructure, thereby contributing to the development of the Indian natural gas market.
The partnership between Adani (50%) and total (50%) concerns terminals, as well as the company Adani Gas Limited, one of the four main gas distributors in India, of which Adani owns 74.8% and in which Total will acquire a 37.4% shareholding.
Total will provide its expertise in LNG and fuel distribution and will ensure LNG supply for Adani Gas Limited. In addition, Adani and Total will form a joint venture to market LNG in India and Bangladesh.
