Total: starts to build solar power plant in Japan
(CercleFinance.com) - Total announces the launch, via its subsidiary Total Solar International, of the construction of a solar power plant that has a capacity of approximately 52 megawatt-peak (MWp) located in Osato, in the Miyagi Prefecture of Japan.
The financial terms of the project have been set, with commissioning scheduled for 2021. The site will be equipped with approximately 116,000 high-efficiency SunPower Maxeon solar panels, offering high performance for the entire life of the facility.
Miyagi Osato Solar Park is Total's third and largest solar power plant in Japan, which will bring its cumulative solar capacity in the country to more than 100 MWp, the group said.
