Total: launches phase 3 of Dunga field
(CercleFinance.com) - Total and its partners have announced that they have approved Phase 3 of the development of the Dunga field, operated by the French energy group (60% stake), and located on land in the Mangystau region of western Kazakhstan.
This phase 3 includes connecting additional wells to existing infrastructure and increasing the plant's processing capacity by 10% to 20,000 barrels of oil per day by 2022.
It will produce over 70 million barrels of additional reserves. This project requires an investment of 300 million dollars and will create another 400 direct jobs in the region, at the peak of the site's construction.
