Total: starts Kaombo Sul in Angola
(CercleFinance.com) - Total announces that it has started production of Kaombo Sul, the second floating production and storage unit (FPSO) of the Kaombo project, located on block 32 (260 kilometres offshore from Luanda, Angola), which the group operates, with a 30% stake .
Eight months after this start to Kaombo Norte, its twin-ship, Kaombo Sul will produce an additional 115,000 barrels of oil a day, bringing the total production capacity to 230,000 barrels a day, or 15% of the country's production.
This start-up will contribute to growth in the group's cash flow and production in 2019 and beyond, said Arnaud Breuillac, head of Exploration-Production at the oil and gas giant.
