Total: inaugurates third Yamal LNG train
(CercleFinance.com) - Total today announces the start of liquid natural gas exports (GNL) of the third Yamal LNG train in Russia, a year ahead of schedule and within its initially planned budget.
The LNG plant is now operating at full capacity, or 16.5 million tonnes a year, less than a year after the first delivery of LNG in December 2017. This start-up has occurred a week after Yamal LNG shipped its 100th cargo.
Patrick Pouyanné, Total's Chairman and CEO, said, ”The positive experience of Yamal LNG paves the way for further LNG developments alongside our strategic partner Novatek, including Arctic LNG 2, the next major development based on giant low costs resources in Russia's far north.”
