Total: launches Zinia 2 project offshore Angola
(CercleFinance.com) - Total has announced the launch oTotalf the development of the Bryce 2 project on block 17 in deep offshore water, found 150 kilometres offshore from Angola.
It has a production capacity of 40,000 barrels per day (b/d).
"This project will extend the profitability of this prolific block, with over 2.6 billion barrels already produced." the group said.
“The project is also a good example of capex discipline and cost optimization: the work carried out to simplify the design while capturing deflation allowed the partners to cut the development costs by more than a half,” said Arnaud Breuillac, head of Exploration-Production at Total.
