Total: sale of subsidiary in Haiti
(CercleFinance.com) - Total announces an agreement to sell its subsidiary that distributes fuel products in Haiti to the consortium Bandari Corporation Ltd.
The sale includes a network of 92 service stations and trade fuel sales.
“This transaction with local operators is aligned with our strategy of streamlining our asset portfolio in the Caribbean”, stated Isabelle Gaildraud, Senior Vice President, Americas, at Total Marketing & Services.
Total has paid special attention to the buyer's capacity and commitment to growing the business and protecting the interests of employees. It nevertheless retains a presence in the Haitian market for lubricants through a distribution agreement.
