Total: 44% of interim dividend paid in shares
(CercleFinance.com) - Total has announced the distribution of the third interim payment for 2017 amounting to 0.
62 euro per share and at the end of the option period from 19 March to 28 March, 44% of the rights were exercised, opting for a payment in shares.
Thus, 15,559,601 new shares will be issued, representing 0.59% of the oil group's capital. The issue price of the new shares issued as payment for this third interim payment was fixed at 45.70 euros on 14 March.
The settlement, the delivery of the shares and their admission to trading on Euronext Paris will take place on 9 April, as will the cash payment of 910 million euros. Total will redeem the newly issued shares for cancellation over this quarter.
