Total: signs two exploration agreements in Lebanon
(CercleFinance.com) - Total has announced signing two agreements for exploration and production with the Lebanese government.
They cover blocks 4 and 9, located off the coast of Lebanon.
The blocks have been awarded to the consortium of Total (operator, 40%), Eni (40%) and Novatek (20%) as part of the 1st offshore licensing round, launched by the Lebanese government in January 2017.
These agreements include the drilling of at least one well per block in the first three years. The consortium will prioritise the first exploration well on block 4 in 2019.
