Carrefour: successfully completes E500m bond placement
(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour has successfully issued senior bonds amounting to 500 million euros which are due in 5 years.
This investment was over-subscribed to, with total demand of over 4 billion euros from around 300 orders from investors.
This new 5-year bond bears an annual coupon of 0.875% for an issue price of 99.33%. The amount raised will be used for general purposes.
Management said that this successful issue, in a difficult market context, reflects the high level of confidence amongst investors in Carrefour's credit quality.
