Carrefour: leaps after transformation plan announced

5% this morning, after the presentation of its transformation plan entitled "Carrefour 2022," which will include a streamlining of the group's headquarters in Île-de-France and a voluntary departure plan in France concerning 2400 employees.
The plan of the French retail giant also provides, inter alia, for a global investment envelope of two billion euros per year, in addition to the opening of 2000 convenience stores over the next five years in big cities.
In 2018, Carrefour is launching a powerful efficiency drive, aiming to generate two billion euros in full-year cost savings as from 2020. It also wants to maintain a dividend distribution rate of between 45% and 50% of adjusted net income, group share.
