Air Liquide: Stifel still a buyer

(CercleFinance.com) - Stifel maintains its Buy rating on Air Liquide shares, along with its target price of 176 euros (current price about 119.
5 euros, +0.7%).

"The main weakness lies in Large Industries (LI) in Europe, which accounts for just 15% of group sales and is protected by long-term contracts," the analyst says.

However, the high cost of gas in Europe may open up opportunities in terms of energy transition and efficiency, Stifel adds, noting that the margin improvement for FY22 is in line with the 160-bp improvement over four years.

However, Stifel continues, the sixteen new semi-manufacturing projects, huge investments in LNG and the development of a battery landscape "offer solid prospects".

The share's are a breath of fresh air today - up 0.7% as noon approaches - in a very flat market in Paris.
