Air Liquide: renewable electricity contract in Spain
(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide has signed a long-term purchase contract to supply itself with renewable electricity representing up to 15% of the current consumption of its activities in Spain.
The group wants to increase its purchases of renewable electricity by nearly 70% by 2025 (compared to 2015).
Thanks to this long-term 10-year agreement, Air Liquide will be able to use renewable energy sources to supply some of its industrial and medical gas production assets in Spain.
The wind farm that will supply Air Liquide with renewable electricity, for the equivalent annual electricity consumption of 15,000 households, is being developed in Andalusia and is expected to be operational in 2021.
