Air Liquide: invests in innovative ASU
(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide has announced an investment of 125 million euros to build the world's first world-class Air Separation Unit (ASU) to produce oxygen including an energy storage system.
The industrial gas group explains that this ASU, which has about 10% lower electricity consumption, will have a production capacity of 2,200 tonnes of oxygen per day. Built in the port of Moerdijk in the Netherlands, it is expected to be operational in 2022.
