Air Liquide: FY earnings up 6.1%
(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide has reported 2019 net income, group share of 2,242 million euros, up 6.
1% (up 6.7% excluding ifRS16), with an operating margin of 17.3%, i.e. up 90 basis points.
Revenue of the industrial and healthcare gas group was 21,920 million euros, up 4.3% as reported, with comparable growth of 3.2%, including 3.5% comparable sales growth in gas and services.
The Board of Directors will propose a dividend of 2.70 euros per share. Following the allocation of free shares - one for 10 last October, the proposed dividend by the group is up significantly (+12.4%).
In 2020, in the absence of major changes in the environment and in an international health situation that is "under control," Air Liquide is confident that it will be able to report growth in its operating margin and net income at constant exchange rates.
