Air Liquide: UBS optimistic before quarterly sales
(CercleFinance.com) - UBS confirms this morning its buying advice on the action Air Liquide, which is trading less than 50 cents from its historic peak.
Analysts are confident, ahead of quarterly sales figures that the French industrial and medical gas giant will present on 26 April. They maintain a 12-month target price of 120 euros.
Analysts discuss the leading indicators that the group has just published ahead of its quarterly report. They mainly retain the negative calendar effect that has affected the period. However, that said, organic growth of the Gas & Services division should remain solid in the first quarter of 2019, which expecting this to reach 6.4%, thanks to the Large Industries division, and the commissioning of new sites (particularly in China), and a more favourable comparison basis. Meanwhile, the group has a full order book.
UBS says that the sector has already undergone a turnaround in 2018, although it expects organic gas sales growth of at least 5% in 2019 and 2020. This contrasts with the weak trend over 2012-2017, when the average annual growth of the four big gas players was limited to 2.9%.
