JCDecaux: rolls out small cells on street furniture
(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday evening, following the publication of the conclusions of the ANFR (French National Agency of Frequencies) demonstrating the relevance of this type of equipment installed on street furniture in December 2018, the group JCDecaux said that it will accompany French telecommunications operators in the deployment of small cells in a dozen French cities in 2019.
Small cells are small antenna that improve the coverage and performance of telecom operators' mobile voice and data networks in the densest urban centres.
Jean-Charles Decaux, Chairman of the Executive Board and Co-Chief Executive Officer of JCDecaux, said: “We are delighted to announce today that we are accelerating the roll-out of small cells on our street furniture in France, after several years of promoting their benefits and developing them in France and abroad.
