Safran: selected by Philippine Airlines
(CercleFinance.com) - Safran Landing Systems has been selected by Philippine Airlines to perform maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) on the landing gear of about 30 Airbus A330 and A320 aircraft.
The contract, which takes effect this year, will run until 2024 for eight A330 wide-body aircraft and until 2025 for 20 A320 and A321 aircraft in the Philippine Airlines' fleet.
The maintenance will be performed at Safran's Singapore workshop, a joint venture with Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SIAEC), which has over 300 employees specializing in landing gear maintenance.
Safran said that this new partnership strengthens our presence in the Asia-Pacific region where Safran performs more than 500 landing gear overhauls per year.
