Safran: about to buy a business from Thales
(CercleFinance.com) - Safran has announced that it has entered into negotiations with Thales with a view to acquiring its aeronautical electrical systems business, which has nearly 600 employees and generated sales of 124 million euros in 2021.
For Thales, the proposed sale is part of the electronics group's strategy to refocus on its core businesses in aerospace, defence and security, identity and digital security.
The proposed transaction is subject to the information and consultation procedure with the relevant employee representative bodies of both companies, as well as the usual regulatory approvals. It would be completed in the course of 2023.
