Safran: signs contract with China Eastern Airlines
(CercleFinance.com) - China Eastern Airlines and CFM International (CFM) have signed a 12-year rate-per-hour contract covering LEAP-1A engines.
The engines will power the airline's fleet of 36 A320neo aircraft. This agreement also includes an order for six spare engines.
Under the terms of the agreement, CFM guarantees maintenance costs on the basis of a dollar amount per engine flight hour.
The airline currently operates 41 LEAP-powered A320neo aircraft.
