Safran: buys ElectroMechnical Systems from Collins Aerospace
(CercleFinance.com) - Safran announces that it has completed the acquisition of Collins Aerospace's ElectroMechanical Systems activities, which mainly consist of flight control actuators and cockpit equipment, coming from the former Rockwell Collins.
These businesses generated revenues of 159 million dollars in 2018. They employ 575 people at four sites in North America, mainly in Irvine (California) and Mexicali (Mexico, on the US-Mexico border).
"Through this acquisition, Safran bolsters its market position and creates synergies in the electrical actuation and flight control segments," Safran said.
