Safran: creates centre of excellence with Alstom
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom announces that it is strengthening its collaboration with software developer IGE + XAO and aeronautical equipment supplier Safran, by creating a centre of excellence in engineering for onboard railway electrical systems in Toulouse.
This centre can accommodate up to a hundred engineers. It will develop railway electrical systems, from design to industrialization, along with the maintenance of Alstom's electrical products in operational condition.
Likewise, Alstom and Safran have signed an agreement on the design of electrical systems, following the partnership announced in 2017, which they say is to meet a growing need to share best practices between the aviation and rail industries.
