Safran: develops partnership with VietJet Air
(CercleFinance.com) - VietJet Air and Safran Aircraft Engines have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen their strategic partnership.
This MoU covers several areas of cooperation relating to Safran Aircraft Engines' engine businesses, ranging from the development of VietJet Air's commercial activities, through the future acquisition of aircraft, fleet management services, training and support for the implementation of on-site support capacities.
VietJet Air has been a client of Safran Aircraft Engines, via CFM International, since 2011. The company now operates 57 A320 family aircraft which are powered with the CFM56. In 2016 VietJet Air announced an order of 100 Boeing 737 equipped with the LEAP-MAX 1 B engine of CFM International, for which the first deliveries will begin in 2019.
