TF1: partnership with Netflix in blockbuster series
(CercleFinance.com) - TF1 and Netflix announce that they have concluded a new partnership agreement, which was initiated by TF1 Studio, around the pre-financing of the "Bazar de la Charité" series, a joint production of Quad Television and TF1 which will be broadcast on TF1 in the second half of 2019.
This series of eight 52 minutes programmes concerns the fire of November 1897 that destroyed the Bazar de la Charité, a Parisian building sheltering a very popular charity event, and which resulted in over 130 fatalities.
As the first partnership of this scope between Netflix and a French broadcaster, this agreement will enable the American giant of video on demand to benefit from the exclusivity of the SVOD world for a period of four years.
