Ubisoft: in demand with successful launch of Far Cry 5
(CercleFinance.com) - The Ubisoft share is soaring 7% today, leading the SBF120, in demand after Far Cry 5's sales were twice those of Far Cry 4 in the first week after its release, making the game the fastest-seller of all-time in the franchise's history.
The French video games publisher adds that Far Cry 5 has therefore become the second best launch of a Ubisoft game, with revenues of 310 million dollars, just behind Tom Clancy's The Division.
The group also highlights that players have broadcast over 55,000 hours of game content on Twitch and YouTube videos alone accumulate over 117 million views, once again representing record numbers.
