M6: in talks to buy Lagardère's TV channels
(CercleFinance.com) - Lagardère has announced its entry into exclusive negotiations with M6 to sell its television channels Gulli (and its international versions), Canal J, TiJi, Elle Girl TV, MCM, MCM Top, RFM TV, and associated advertising departments.
In 2017, the television division's consolidated pro-forma revenues and operating profit (excluding Mezzo) reached 98 million euros and 20.6 million euros respectively. The project will be subject to approval by the CSA and competition authorities.
"This project represents a unique opportunity for M6 Group to complement its audiovisual offering for families and to strengthen its overall position in the French media market," the media group said.
