Hermes: steps taken against COVID-19 crisis

(CercleFinance.com) - The group will maintain the basic salaries of its 15,500 employees in France and worldwide without having recourse to exceptional public aid.


Hermès will donate 20 million euros to the AP-HP (Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris). This contribution comes alongside the donations of over 30 tonnes of hydroalcoholic solution produced by its Parfum du Vaudreuil site, and more than 31,000 masks from the company's different entities.

Hermès' Supervisory Board has also decided to modify the proposal to pay an ordinary dividend, which will be submitted to its AGM on 24 April 2020, reducing this dividend from 5.00 euros to 4.55 euros per share, i.e. identical to the dividend paid in 2019.

Company management have renounced increases in their fixed compensation paid in 2020 and their variable compensation awarded in 2020, for 2019, Therefore in 2020, they will receive total compensation that is identical to that received in 2019.
