Atos: acquires DataSentics in Czech Republic
(CercleFinance.com) - Alongside its trading update, Atos has announced an agreement to acquire DataSentics, a Czech company specialising in data science, which focuses on artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) solutions and products.
Through this acquisition, Atos will strengthen its AI/ML and machine vision portfolio with new AI products and data science capabilities. It will welcome approximately 100 data scientists and AI/ML engineers from DataSentics.
The combined capabilities of Atos and DataSentics will create a global AI/ML cluster of expertise that will deliver value to all their clients. The transaction is expected to close in Q4 2021.
Atos shares were up 2% on Thursday afternoon in a market that is just underwater.
