Atos: new supercomputer for Spain's AEMET
(CercleFinance.com) - Atos has announced that it has been selected by the Spanish State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) to supply and install its calculation and storage technology.
Based on Atos' BullSequana supercomputing architecture, the new supercomputer will provide almost ten times the computing capacity of the current equipment.
This new supercomputer will enable AEMET to strengthen its collaboration with international organisations and to stimulate research in different fields such as weather forecasting, climate change anticipation and wave height forecasting, it said.
