Atos: Juwels, Europe's fastest supercomputer
(CercleFinance.com) - Atos announces that the supercomputing system at Forschungszentrum Jülich, named Juwels, is now the fastest supercomputer in Europe with a peak performance of 44.
1 petaflops.
"We believe JUWELS is a milestone towards the European exascale computer, scheduled to be launched in 2023." said Prof. Thomas Lippert, Head of the Jülich Supercomputing Centre.
Juwels will be used in research relating to the climate, environment, sustainable energy management and the properties of materials, as well as brain research.
