Atos: wins contract for Bullsequana X1000 in Germany
(CercleFinance.com) - Atos has announced the signing of a contract to deliver its latest supercomputer, the "BullSequana X1000", to the Jülich Research Centre in Germany.
"The 12-petaflop machine (able to execute more than 12 million billion operations per second) will be Germany's fastest supercomputer and one the most powerful computers in the world," the group said.
The BullSequana will be particularly used a part of the European "Human Brain Project," which, thanks to simulation, aims to improve the understanding of the human brain's mechanisms.
