Crédit Agricole: to create joint venture with Bankia
(CercleFinance.com) - Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance on Monday announced that it has signed an agreement with Bankia, the fourth largest Spanish bank, for the creation of a joint venture in the field of consumer credit in Spain.
Credit Agricole Consumer Finance will be the majority shareholder.
"For Crédit Agricole Consumer Finance, this exclusive partnership aims at accelerating the setting up of its presence in Spain, the fourth largest consumer finance market in the Eurozone, thanks to Bankia's large customer base and strong knowledge of the Spanish market," the group said in a statement.
