Crédit Agricole: underlying earnings up 23%

(CercleFinance.com) - Credit Agricole SA has published 2017 net income, group share, that is up 3.
1% at 3,649 million euros, with underlying net income, group share, which is up 23% at 3,925 million euros.

Solid organic growth of the group's different businesses and, to a lesser extent, the integration of Pioneer Investments, helped to offset, in one year, the non-recurrent capital gain of 1,272 million euros on Eurêka, at the level of net income, group share.

ROTE reached 11.1%, above the group's target of 11% set in its medium-term Plan for 2019. The Board of Directors has decided to propose a dividend of 0.63 euro per share, meaning a ROTE rate of distribution of 56%, above its target rate of 50%.
