Nexans: European restructuring project
(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans has announced a European restructuring project in order to develop beyond the commodity cable market so as to become a leader in energy and data systems solutions and management.
An information-consultation day is being held today.
This restructuring project will help the cable manufacturer to readjust the scope of corporate activities at its global headquarters, pool certain functional activities between countries and adapt the industrial site in a targeted way.
The project could result in 939 redundancies, with the creation of 296 positions. The main consequences on the group's workforce are expected to be seen in Germany, France, Switzerland and to a lesser extent Belgium, Norway and Italy.
